Wadi Shab is a very popular popular outdoor attraction in Oman for both locals and expats, and people go there for nature, to swim in the fresh water pools or just to have a barbecue. The main attraction of the wadi is the waterfall in the cave, which you can reach after a roughly 40 mins hike and swimming in 2-3 pools. People love going to this wadi as it is not very far from Muscat, it is easily accessible even with a saloon car and because the pools are always full of clear blue water! The wadi is definitely very popular and it gets very busy during public holidays with many families having a picnic at the entrance of the wadi.

It was really amazing to swim in that beautifull natural pools. I recomend to wear some confortable shoes for walk and swim. It was the best excursion we did in muscat! Highly recommended! Thank you
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip! Our guide was so knowledgeable and helpful. There was a lot more swimming than we had expected, so be prepared. We were extremely happy that the company provided waterproof bags for our phones, since we didn't have our own. Amazing day!!
Great day out Booked this on back of other reviews and glad I did. Our guide Ilya was very knowledgeable and friendly, went at our pace and made us feel comfortable on the swim. The tour had nice little touches too - including omani tea and snacks on the way, lunch by wadi Shab and a waterproof phone case so we could take photos. Recommended
Not private, not timely & not a tour The price listed on this tour is $82, when I booked, it became $96. Little bit of a bait and switch but I went along with it. Then, I was sent an email stating that I had to be ready for the driver to collect me at 08:00, and it was explicit that the driver could not wait for more than 5 minutes. I was outside on time. The driver arrived at 08:50, after I called him twice to confirm that he was actually coming. He arrived in a full size coach, I assumed that he was just the driver, as the tour stayed that the tour would be in a 4x4 vehicle. He then switched us to a smaller bus and handed out headphones. Myself and 12 others were taking this “private” tour together. 15 people had booked but two didn’t show. I spoke to the driver about this and he said “it’s not a private tour.” I showed him the listing for the tour, he said he didn’t know anything about it.
Great day with Nasser at Wadi Shab We had a wonderful time exploring with Aziz, an all star guide that really made the day. He was on time for our hotel pickup, was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient throughout our journey to Wadi shab
