Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu Welcome to the heart of Nepal! Upon landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, we’ll be there to greet you and escort you to your hotel. Get settled and prepare for an exciting briefing on your upcoming adventure.
Our journey begins with a scenic 30-minute flight to Lukla, the gateway to Everest. From there, a leisurely trek along the Dudh Koshi River leads us to Phakding, a charming village nestled at 2,610 meters, where we’ll spend our first night under the stars.
Trekking towards Namche Bazaar, the bustling hub of the Khumbu region, involves a challenging ascent through beautiful landscapes and the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park in Monjo. Your effort is rewarded with the first magnificent views of Everest and surrounds. Namche, at 3,440 meters, is a vibrant mix of culture, commerce, and mountain vistas.
We take a day to adjust to the altitude, with options to explore nearby Sherpa villages or enjoy panoramic views from the Everest View Hotel. Namche’s amenities and local markets are yours to discover.
Ascending to Tengboche at 3,870 meters, this day’s trek offers breathtaking views of Everest and Ama Dablam. The Tengboche Monastery, a spiritual center of the Khumbu region, invites for a peaceful reflection amid the Himalayan backdrop.
Our path to Dingboche at 4,360 meters takes us through lush forests and the Imja Khola valley, revealing more of the majestic Himalayas. The oldest monastery in the region at Pangboche offers a glimpse into Sherpa culture and history.
Another day to acclimate, with hikes to Chhukung or Nangkartshang Peak providing unforgettable vistas of the surrounding peaks, including Lhotse, Makalu, and Ama Dablam.
As we advance towards Lobuche at 4,950 meters, the terrain becomes more stark and the peaks more imposing, offering spectacular views and a profound sense of adventure.
The trek to Everest Base Camp at 5,400 meters traverses the Khumbu Glacier, leading to the iconic base camp and then to Gorakshep for the night. This day offers unparalleled views and the feeling of standing at the top of the world.
An early climb to Kalapatthar rewards with 360-degree Himalayan panoramas, including Everest. A helicopter then whisks you back to Lukla, followed by a flight to Kathmandu, offering a bird’s-eye view of the landscapes you traversed.
Enjoy a restful day in Kathmandu, exploring at your leisure, indulging in some shopping, or simply relaxing and reflecting on your journey.
We bid farewell as we transport you to the airport, leaving you with memories of an incredible journey and the allure of the Himalayas calling you back.
