Super
This was honestly one of the happiest and most memorable experiences of my entire trip to Thailand. I booked the Mae Wang National Park two day trekking adventure hoping to see nature and maybe learn a little about local culture, but the experience turned out to be far more special than I expected. The trek itself was beautiful from the very beginning. The forest trails were peaceful and surrounded by lush green jungle, and along the way our Karen guide showed us different plants, bamboo areas, and small jungle paths that tourists normally never see. The waterfalls were amazing and we stopped to swim in clear cool water which felt incredible after walking through the forest. One of my favorite moments was the hidden jungle beach. I had never imagined finding a sandy river area in the middle of a rainforest. It felt like a secret place and the whole group enjoyed relaxing there before continuing the trek. The overnight stay in the Karen village was the highlight of the trip. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and the dinner they prepared was delicious and very authentic. Sitting outside the wooden house at night, listening to the forest and looking at the stars, created such a peaceful atmosphere. In the morning we woke up to birds singing and beautiful mountain views which made the experience feel magical. Our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. He explained local traditions, jungle survival tips, and even showed us edible plants along the trail. The pace of the hike was comfortable and everyone in the group felt safe and well looked after. If you want a real adventure in nature and a genuine cultural experience with local people, I cannot recommend this trekking tour enough. It was the happiest and most authentic experience of my time in Northern Thailand and I would absolutely do it again.
