Arrival at Kigali International Airport, where your guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Kigali. Rwanda’s capital is known for being one of the cleanest and safest cities in Africa, surrounded by green hills and modern urban life.
After check-in, guests can relax from the journey or enjoy a short orientation walk near the hotel. Depending on arrival time, travelers may visit nearby markets or cafés to experience the local atmosphere.
In the evening, enjoy a welcome briefing from your guide explaining the itinerary and upcoming activities of your Rwanda Nature Tour.

After breakfast, begin a guided Kigali city tour. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, an important historical site that explains Rwanda’s past and the country's journey toward peace and unity.
Continue exploring local markets and cultural spots before departing for Volcanoes National Park in northern Rwanda. The drive passes beautiful countryside landscapes, green hills, rural villages, and scenic farmland.
Arrive in Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park, in the afternoon. The surrounding region is dominated by the spectacular Virunga volcanic mountains, covered in lush forest.

Early breakfast followed by transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for briefing before the gorilla trek.
Guided by expert rangers, begin trekking through bamboo forests and mountain slopes in search of a family of endangered mountain gorillas. Trekking time varies depending on the gorilla group location and may take between 2 to 6 hours.
Once the gorillas are found, visitors spend a special one hour observing the gorilla family in their natural habitat. Watching these gentle giants interact is one of the most extraordinary wildlife experiences in the world.
Return to the lodge in the afternoon and enjoy time to relax.
Optional visit to the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village to learn about traditional Rwandan culture.

After breakfast, head back into the forest for Golden Monkey trekking, another unique wildlife experience in the park. These rare primates are playful and active, making the trekking experience enjoyable and photogenic.
After lunch, visit the scenic Twin Lakes (Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo) located near the base of the Virunga mountains. The lakes offer breathtaking views of volcanic landscapes and peaceful rural surroundings.

Travel Time: 1.5 – 2 hours
After breakfast, depart for Lake Kivu, one of Africa’s Great Lakes. The scenic drive passes beautiful mountain roads with panoramic views.
Arrive in Gisenyi, a charming lakeside town located along the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Spend the afternoon relaxing by the lake, enjoying the peaceful environment and fresh air. Guests may enjoy swimming, kayaking, or simply walking along the lake shore.
Sunset over Lake Kivu is especially beautiful.

Distance: ~95 km
Travel Time: 3 hours (scenic lakeside drive)
After breakfast, enjoy a boat tour on Lake Kivu, visiting small islands and fishing villages.
Later continue south along one of the most scenic drives in Rwanda toward Kibuye, another beautiful lakeside town surrounded by green hills.
The route follows the shoreline with breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding landscapes.
Arrive in Kibuye in the afternoon and enjoy free time by the lake.

Distance: ~110 km
Travel Time: 3.5 – 4 hours
After breakfast, depart for Nyungwe Forest National Park. The journey passes Rwanda’s famous tea plantations, offering excellent photo opportunities.
Arrive at the park and check into the lodge located near the forest.
In the afternoon, enjoy a guided forest walk exploring the rainforest environment.
Nyungwe Forest is one of Africa’s oldest tropical forests and home to numerous primates and bird species.

Early morning start for chimpanzee trekking inside Nyungwe Forest.
The forest is home to many chimpanzee groups and several monkey species. Tracking the chimps through dense rainforest is exciting and rewarding.
Later enjoy the famous Nyungwe Canopy Walk, a suspension bridge built high above the forest floor offering spectacular views of the jungle canopy.

After breakfast depart for Akagera National Park in eastern Rwanda. The journey crosses the country through scenic landscapes and rural communities.
Arrive in the afternoon and begin a short safari game drive.
Akagera offers a different environment from the forests visited earlier, with open savannah plains, lakes, wetlands, and wildlife.
Animals often seen include giraffes, elephants, zebras, buffalo, antelopes, and many birds.

Yes. Gorilla trekking requires a special permit issued by the Rwanda Development Board. The permit is included in this tour package and allows visitors to spend one hour with a gorilla family.

Free cancellation up to 14 days before tour departure.
If cancellation occurs less than 14 days before departure, cancellation charges may apply due to accommodation reservations, park permits, and tour preparation costs.
Some special permits, such as gorilla trekking permits, may be non-refundable once issued according to national park regulations.
A deposit of 50% is required to confirm the booking of the tour.
The remaining balance must be paid 30 days before the tour start date.
Bookings are confirmed only after receiving the deposit payment and confirmation email from our team.
Travelers must carry a valid passport with at least six months validity from the date of entry into Rwanda.
Some nationalities may require a visa to enter Rwanda. Travelers are responsible for ensuring they meet the visa requirements.
Travelers are advised to consult their doctor regarding recommended vaccinations before traveling to Rwanda.
Participants should have a reasonable level of fitness for trekking activities such as gorilla and chimpanzee tracking.
